On Sunday, March 18, fierce weather notwithstanding, Edmonton gardeners and other lovers of loam will gather for a day of free seed exchange, gardening information and general spring giddiness, all topped off with free parking.

The Seedy Sunday event is at the Central Lions Recreation Centre (11113 113 St.) between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a children’s table, and lots of demonstrations and door prizes. Meat Street Pies Food Truck (with the effervescent Thea Avis on board) will be there to dole out delicacies wrapped in pastry. The Edmonton Horticultural Society will be on site, too, with helpful advice.

11:30 a.m. – Grafting by Thean Pheh

1 p.m. – Tool Sharpening by Takota Coen and Hart Wichern

2:30 p.m. – Mushrooms by Chanchan Wang
